the emotions this time this is the time and date to place to hold a public hearing regarding the new map close the public hearing all of the sports teams competition W pad that are getting good sportsmanship Awards and there's any academic Excellence award I'd rather have battle or any Championship or any first place braiding truly to have p c m students are representing as well and all they're doing and we should be very very proud of all of their efforts lemon chicken agenda discussion all those in favor say aye story of Justice presentation orange orange Pakistan school board so we are the Sword of Justice Circle Keepers we're just here to tell you a little more about ourselves and what we're hoping you do with the school we're going to start off by saying our names and reinstatement I know I'm a junior or senior Gabapentin so what is restorative justice of the definition is it focuses on repairing harm through collusive processes that bring together students and educators our students to resolve conflicts on their own and a small groups RJ is a growing practice at schools around the country and eventually the idea is to bring students together and peer mediate small groups the dock questions and share what they are going through so I'm sure you're all wondering why restorative justice why should we do this year at 2 p.m. so some of the effectiveness has helped bring the school environment together as one research has proven that are big as  release date students from the educational environment due to punishment that is acquired accountability with students and improve scored on standardized testing it just helps bring the students together and more and make them more uncomfortable in a mental and physical setting in so a circle keepers have meetings once a week and what they usually look like in order to start off with in bonding so we do activities to talk about her week what are we proud of that we and our favorite little activity is Rose by storm so we can just talk about the good things and then we have a potential meeting in circles so we about who might need a circle of what they might want a circle store and then we talk about wearing different like RJ Topix can we have gratitude and we talked about communication can I get help with milk not anybody who is on Balsam the circles that we have had on the artist stop the circle keep their students and principal and then if it's a bigger cause that we are being like we're talkin about guiding the student through parents can also be the price of a circle is a pre-conference of the students make sure they're okay with the plan to make a circle pan and trip and have the circle and then on the duration of a circle really depends on Circle that usually last for 30 to 40 minutes I'm typing circles welcome support conflict farewell impact and harm on the most common one that we have here at PPM is either you're welcome support or conflict and supporting us we are here to support people as well as serve and not fix them I'm in so when we're in our three-day training we talked about values that we're going to have within this group and then 9 that we all kind of came together we're connecting Community honesty vulnerability confidentiality but enjoy open-minded confidence and family needs that would be like we're all in this together we're all here to support one another and to that really stood out to us where Bonner bility incompetent Audi because we're high school students are also wanting to like help and support the other high school students so if it's confidentiality and they all know that it will make them feel more comfortable coming outside in wanting a circle and wanting us to stop them and so is something that we also use in the circle is a talking piece it's a meaningful object there different every single Circle it gives everyone the opportunity to talk and so when you have the talking piece that's your turn to talk and then when you don't that's your turn listen and let them open up to the group.
