um for some of you this is information you've heard before for some of you it's going to be new um we can answer questions at the end if you want I think you want to go ahead and go to the next slide all right so what is the certified budget just kind of outline kind of what it is to start out our conversation tonight um a few pieces to know is it shows the amount of taxes that are levied for each fund and programs um it's the total of revenues and expenditures across all funds uh it makes a public aware of the maximum that we can spend across all those funds it also most importantly says the property tax rate for the next school year and then also the board adopts it um each year Becky next slide please so it's a yearly process um it starts in February and it goes through May 31st the department of management has a budget system that we keep track of the process from the beginning the end they manage calculations and put data um I also input data as it pertains to our district um a couple key dates that are important throughout the budget timeline is the beginning of March on the 5th we have our property tax or proposed tax on this that we have to give to the county which generates those tax notices that's when our been generally our public first public hearing would be um the second date is this public hearing tonight and then the board adoption then it goes to the county for them to certify and then it goes to the state for them to finalize which happens by the end of May okay so part of the certified budget like I said is tied to um expenditures it's probably a big piece of what we're certifying tonight in my opinion um it's broken into 4 categories so we have instruction which is obviously our teachers instructional supplies and activities um total Support Services which makes up our counselors nurses Transportation maintenance things like that uh non-instructional programs would for our district nutrition and then other expenditures would be any debt that we have um facility improvements and then AAA dollars so the biggest thing with the 4 categories is that we're setting the maximum that we would spend for the here um that's what we're sort of finding the public and then throughout the year um if we think we're going to exceed those and we need to wait within our budget go ahead back to the next slide it's fully dry okay so how do we build our budget it really is based off of 2 components um we talked a little bit about this before just kind of showing in a different way um got 2 components is that state cost for people you might hear it called SSA allowable growth kind of just depends on um timing and your audiences um but that First Option 1 there just shows kind of historically where we've been the last 5 years we've averaged about a 2% increase I would say every year um the other component is our certified enrollment um which historically that count has been taken in the fall of the prior year so October 1st it's taking the kind of our resident students that we have um that data is what we will use for next year's budget starting next last year let me see if I can get this right well then I have to count dates October 1st which is what we're typically doing and then we'll have another 1 January 15th so we'll take the average of those and that will actually be then our our budget enrollment um so it's a little different um this is information that we talked about before Aaron's mentioned it several times obviously I think we all know our enrollments declining this is just a different Viewpoint of that um looking back over the Last 5 Years we're down about 79 kids um and we're projected as you guys know I think we've talked about it um that is going to continue to the fine over the next few years so just recognizing how this fits into the overall picture of our budget it definitely has an impact thank you Becky okay so the Combined District costs really what this is is it's a formula driven amount that represents the total funding um for a school district's budget it's really the core calculation of our spending Authority um it makes up a couple of different buck um obviously that state costs per student that we already talked about that funding formula um our categorical supplements so that would be professional development teacher leadership things like that um also our Dropout prevention would be considered part of that calculation as well I think the important thing here to understand really is that our student driven student count our enrollment impacts really all of this it's calculate you know part of the formula so it really determines what we're able to spend on education across our district um which is funded then by state aid and local property taxes okay so this kind of takes that combined to certain cost and um breaks it down to more of a granular level fiscal year 27 in grey and that's um just estimated numbers it's not considered final yet but you can just kind of see history of kind of where we've been over the Last 5 Years couple of things I want to call out just while we're looking at this is that SSA that state supplemental State growth allowable growth for everyone to call it SSA um you can see where it's been trending it's about 2% and that really um isn't keeping up with the cost of expenses whether that salaries operational expenses you name it is trending higher than that so it just poses a little bit of a challenge for us with our budgets um the other thing I want to call out is the budget guarantee we've talked about this a little bit at a few other board meetings typically um with this this is usually part of property taxes is funded through property taxes um if it's something our district is going to leverage you can see historically looking um is something that we haven't had every year and the main reason for that is it occurs when a district um has a decrease in enrollment and make sure I get this right increased date cost per pupil does not result in an increase of total funding so it basically provides that safety net of 1% above last year's programming costs um so that's why some years we don't we don't have this year um that's what instead of being covered by property taxes it's going to be covered through State a so um it won't impact our tax rate this year um but it's very likely that it's kind of a 1 year thing and it's likely that that will go back to property taxes next year um the other thing I would like to call out on this slide is Dropout convention so the amount of funding for this really has varied um as you can see the last few years it kind of fluctuates and um with this particular program it is funded through property taxes um the majority of it is anyway and the funding for that is determined by 2 to 5% of your regular program cost is what would be allocated to you to use the next year um with that though if there is a carryover fund balance that would be taken away or offset from your allocation for the next year so that's where that Evansville kind of has been based off of our usage and carryover thank you Becky so this should cost our funded through a mix of state aid and local property taxes this consists of like our uniform tax levy State Foundation Aid if there's a need for additional property tax to kind of bridge that Gap um and then there's the preschool Foundation Aid or a preschool funding this you can see too it's kind of fluctuates you over year it's also enrollment driven but where it first is that we don't want to get half of the funding for preschool kids so with that being said if we had 60 students in preschool the dollars that we're getting for those students is only equal to 30 students so we have to find other ways to supplement program um which we've done you know for preschool fees if they want to come all day to be able to support that program um the other thing on here that I want to talk about is our property valuations so um and looking of these uh you can see there are property evaluations have increased year-over-year I don't think that's a surprise to anyone um but what impact this has is it doesn't directly impact our actual tax rate but more the property tax dollars that we receive so our tax rate this year coming year will be 1431 um although that's down from what we've had the last couple of years the property tax dollars is generating will be higher because of our property value so it's just something to understand kind of How It's correlated all right so like I said our property tax rate for next year is 1431 this chart just kind of illustrates prior years where our tax rate was at like I said we've gone down um and I think even Friday 23 we had been trending down I think we think from then he'll be coming down but if you look across at the different levies if you break it down there's just a couple that I want to call out that look different this year the median prior years um the first 1 being the instructional support Levy what this does is it allows districts to increase their general fund Levy up to 10% of the total regular program costs our district does the maximum at 10% yeah sorry we meant to do that before I know yeah offering that's okay thank you um so our district does a mix of the funding for this through property taxes and income sir tax um and this next budget year we actually will be receiving more of the funding through income store tax instead of property taxes so that's why that Levy is lower um this coming year going to the prior years The Debt Service Levy is another 1 I want to talk about so we um obviously this is tied to our general obligation Bond and so we have a set amount that we have to Levy Levy each year to be able to pay that down um which this year's a132 in addition to that we do have what's called a debt Surplus Levy where you can um Levy the difference up to the maximum of 27 um we are choosing not to do that business and we didn't do it last year either however in 2023 to 2025 we did um the board did authorize that which has essentially saved us $115,000 in interest and I think it's taken a year if not a little more I thought the debt payment plan so um like you want to go ahead and go to the next start so this is just something I like to share with you it just shows like comparison of like this year's tax rate kind of where we fall with neighboring districts and districts in our conference and we're kind of in the middle of the range we have backer at the high end of 1869 and then we have West Marshall at 11:53 so we are kind of within that mid-range um even if we draw off to that 1431 so go ahead you have you have sorry what's that what's the average across all those like if we below average or no bigger that sorry ya know what's the right it's a right I mean there's a few I don't know sorry just keep in mind no it's okay yeah we would adjust that to the 1431 at the bottom okay so then just want to talk a little bit about who has kind of the what what impacts our tax rate and the board has Authority um over the levies that are listed there just a couple that I want to talk about um really is the board approved peple um that I'm not sure it's been for a while I'm not quite sure when um but that generates for this next year we'll generate about 144,000 um in funding which we'll use that for facility improvements transportation technology things like that um the other 1 I want to call it's the management fund this 1 is used um covers the cost of early retirement our property insurance um deductibles work comp litigations things like that so that amount is going to fluctuate from me over year um kind of depending on what our next year's needs are so um we do have the the board has the control to kind of go up or down really as needed um the only other 1 I really want to talk about because we've kind of touched already on debt service and cash Reserve is the instructional support Levy just to kind of give you that illustration of the incomes for tax rate kind of how much um that's coming from there versus property taxes the 521,000 versus the 59 so Capital says board approved right no this 1 would be board approved um so actually all those voters 134 yep if you go to the next slide Becky you'll see so Jeremy there's the voted approved Pebble which I think was just voted here in the last couple of years for the dollar 34 fun that we get for that would be used for the same purposes it's just obviously going to generate more yeah um than the board approve yeah the board 1 that's the that's the max that you guys can uh approve is the 33 yep so this slide just really shows kind of where that split is so aside from the board voters um would make up probably 20% of the overall impact on our tax rate so aside from the voted couple it would be go on but that service which is the dollar 32 um that we have currently so then the other 59% of our tax rate is actually controlled through that funding formula so that's you know kind of the bulk of our tax rate okay so kind of just bringing us back around to the certified budget um really at this point um I shared with each of you the budget summary that has similar information to what I have here but really just outlines all revenue and expenses shows it from this this current year as a re-estimated amount last year's to kind of show you our actuals were and then what we're projecting for next year those 4 categories are highlighted on there that's the maximum spending for those expenses that you would be adopting later tonight so any other questions that's all I have for you hey we need a motion to adjourn motion and second to appear in the certified all in favor say I constituents correspondence we have none moved down to Good News okay we have uh a few listed here I'll just go through go through 2 of them um on April 8th PCM High School hosted a its burst college fair representatives from 12 colleges were on hand to give information about their schools and programs and answered student questions and another 1 that we are going to hear a lot about here shortly uh PCM Elementary country um posted its Leader in Me Lighthouse certification visits uh welcoming representatives from Leader in Me organization to see the impact of leadership in action uh students took the lead in guiding tours and delivering presentations um confidently demonstrating how confidently demonstrating how they apply 8 leadership habits throughout their school day the visit also included parent panels providing valuable insight into how the these habits extend beyond the classroom while the official Lighthouse status decision will be shared in the coming weeks everyone was happy with the positive feedback they've received so can't wait to hear a little bit more from anybody else have any good news okay thank you move down to committee updates I don't think Finance thanks Rock uh we talked a little bit about certified budget which and Tanya spoke to me um we're gonna vote on a lot of the stuff tonight salaries and wages for 2627 um fifth grade playground over at the middle school and Doug alert yeah yeah that we're planning on yeah using our or it's kind of a 5 year plan thing but by the way to work it in yeah uh also some software for Mr office anything on this call can you hear anything at of course facilities um maybe we can just touch on next Wednesday for the first round of the community have that out at the at the high school 29 so we could um got about 25 to 30 people that we've been able to commit uh to that meeting so have a good good range of uh staff members community members from from various backgrounds multiple communities that were well represented in those in those meetings okay move on down to principal and director updates anybody have any questions in there skip the consent agenda no okay would you consent agenda sorry entertain motion for approval second I have a motion second all those in favor of the content agenda say I anybody opposed motion carries now we'll go to principal so excited about the there's a fundraising for that power rate is that fully funded by donations yep yeah it'll be a good thing I'll let them take care of the field as it should taken care of so can you share about your van that you told me about earlier today yeah I shared that super important um no that's that's in here no it's all good um I was contacted by couple people that were uh parents of the golf team members and I actually heard uh golf coach saying same thing about the 12 passengers we just purchased that it is easy to load as far as golf bags fit all of our our golf team all at once easy to have the the coach drive all those sort of things so a good good feedback um from the first first time around so um hope that continues and it is a benefit to have something a little more versatile than a transportation bleed okay anything else we'll move down to business items District Monroe Elementary leader and me student right we can we're gonna combine them oh okay once we do it both buildings can you pull up mine first yep all right City that would be the best place for me to join up behind that yeah behind the table there is there is any to the board yep yep yep that worked all right this is a portion this is a a representation of our um pce leader and me um group there's actually 12 of but 5 of them are here tonight and they're going to do a little presentation about just the different things that we've had going on in the building this is kind of a tour this is similar to the tours that they gave our Lighthouse Representatives that were in the building last week so um we have Kinley and Hadley and Hartley they're all fourth graders and then we have ASA and Carly who are fifth grade no asa's fourth grade too I'm putting you you're ahead of yourself and Carly's a fifth grader so they're gonna take you through this presentation this is the interview process take it this is the interview process to get on the lighthouse team students have to fill out an application describing how they use the leader in me Habit students then go through an interview with statman with staff members to explain the impact leader and he has on them after interviews 12 students are chosen for the team these are these are our responsibilities the lighthouse team as many responsibilities throughout the school year lead our school assemblies help make important decisions in our school come come up with fundraisers and activities present at present at leadership day and be a role model in our school the assembly is during the assemblies we help present information to to the rest of the school this includes upcoming events presenting the habit of the month leader of the month and we always play a game to finish our assembly this is our student voice box students can put their ideas in the Box and we go through them at our meetings ideas can include things that need fixed ideas for fundraisers new ideas for our school decorations for the hallway school activities ways to make the elementary and even better place this is our leader in Mitri each month we focus on a habit and each month we focus on 1 habit and the tree has has 18 when we then think about how we will apply that habit in our life or at school and add it to the tree these are classes speech class has created their own way a w a wig is a wildly important goal students think of a goal to work towards as a class each class has a scoreboard to keep track of their progress if the goal is met they get the reward they sat at the start of the wig these are our this is a positive offers for referrals these are a positive office referral as well classroom teachers can fill out a slip to let Dr McCory know if students are doing a great job in class she announces positive office referrals at lunch then you get to sign the wall service projects during the month months of November and December we had a food drive at our school we had a competition to see which class could collect the most we collected organized and took the items to the food pantry and mineral we have been working very hard over the over the last few years to implement leader in the leader in me in our school our goal is to get the lighthouse certificate certification this is the highest rating School a school can get from leader in me and it would be a huge achievement only 33 schools in Iowa have earned a lighthouse certification Lighthouse certification on April 8th we had our Lighthouse certification visit 2 members from the leader and me came to see and hear about all all the great things we are doing we took them on a tour of the school and we also had a question and answered sessions with them they observed The Leader in Me lessons talked with staff members met with a parent group and wanted to hear how we incorporate leader in me into our school each day we should hopefully know in 1 to 3 weeks if we have earned our Lighthouse certification oh thank thank you for letting us present does anybody have any questions for them what does it mean to you guys to be a role model at school um it means a lot because it out of all the kids that try out for Lighthouse team to be like it's just you it's like you that get it is like a big deal to you kind of good job good job thanks guys to raise your sitting in the back and he is part of um he's 1 of the leaders for the lighthouse team so he helped put this team put this together and helps help them prepare for it so okay these are a few members from our Lighthouse team and uh each month like they said we learn about the different habits so each month we focus on um a different habit and they made a video with Mrs dahi she's not here tonight but yeah it's really really cool and they got to present that to the people that came around for the lighthouse certification they did a great job so they are going to give a you their name and their favorite habit and start my name is uh my favorite is habit 3 but first things first why is that when your favorite and I don't have to worry about Braxton and my favorite habit is a 1 be proactive because because when I think about it for a little bit all right my name's Garrett my favorite habits have a 3 week because um you um so you can like if you do your work first you can have more play time yeah my name is Oliver and my favorite habit is habit 3 um because it if you will work first then playing is more fun because you worked to earn it I can't remember that's okay it's all right buddy okay here's our video Welcome to PC on Elementary our school is a peaceful that means we believe every student if you don't either you practice the 8 habits every day in our classrooms in the hallways and even on the playground we are going to show you what leader and meal looks like in our school come on I don't want to be correct that means we take responsibility for ourselves and our actions you can see us being directive or we use our bathroom passes the right and put our shoulders away and walk in a quiet line with helping people we always put recess equipment away and follow the rules during lunch at ECM we don't wait to be told we do the right thing on our pocket too was began to stand in line that means we set goals and make a plan for them sometimes we set like when we put on our top stuff and put all our accounts and in the right order and sometimes the goals are big like what's funny Mash things then we keep track of the files on our running wrestling cards every step takes us closer to our goal how to 3 is put first things first that means we do our work first before we fly we show this when we finish our work before heading out to recess we know that when we put first things first stuff on it is even better later open and it means we try to find a way that makes everyone happy we do this when we compromise about what games to play when we help everyone succeed we all win have a privacy crust on the salmon to be understood that means we listen before we talk we listen to our teachers on about that or listen to a friend when they're talking we also ask questions good leaders are good listeners that means we work together when we build within the tiles make more noise is play soccer or cold robot together we learned that humor makes us stronger we know that together we can do much more than we can on Hobbit sharpen this off it means taking care of ourselves our our school we sharpen the saw biting things that make us happy like making or creating bracelets or learning things during our clubs when we take time to recharge we we're ready to be our best selves how many 8 find your voice it means discovering drinks and sharing them with others we show this habit when we read it with the Morgan now over the intercom and sharing ideas during our life when we use our voices we help others want to be leaders too uh PCL leadership is it just something we talked about we're learning to lead ourselves and others 1 habit at a time we are leaders every day if you have any questions for them what's your favorite part about the year being part of it taking the school a better place favorite habit really asking that they all had have it through they're all yeah that's been changed to 1 okay do move down to number 3 approved 20216 years of graduation 20 seniors for graduation yeah we have a um this is has a list of 86 seniors here um are on track to graduate um just need your approval but obviously all 86 will still need to finish up complete their requirements before uh they would walk across the stage so um definitely tracking all those students but um it's looking for your approval tonight and the only thing to add to that and there are 3 kids there that are graduating the entire year earlier which is sorry and they're still on track yep I'm a crew I have a motion second all those in favor of the approval of 2026 years ago graduation say I both motion carries set public calendar hearing date okay this just has to do with the new Cent file that came out uh that was signed by the governor um in the 2026 legislative session so just part of the bill establishes a second Count Day Count date uh what Tanya just kind of mentioned a little bit bit ago um second count date of January 15th along with the first student count date of October 1st districts would average the 2 and enrollments to establish their budget enrollment due to this bill we plan to move the end of the first semester from December 18th 2026 to January 15 2027 I would also like to add potential in inclement weather days which would be maybe 27 28th and June 1st listed on that on the calendar so um we just want to make sure that um we're able to count the students that we typically could have early graduation on December December 18th they would be done they were done at that time frame they would not be present for that second count date and so we've missed that for Budget enrollment so we're going to extend that semester and say a lot of there's quite a few districts that have to do the the same thing do that legislation how you need to get the calendar set up we were just looking at the points yeah yeah 545 before the next board meeting motion yeah just the motion to set the date to May 18th 545 we have a motion and second to set the public calendar hearing date for May 18th at 5:45 all those in favor say I I I post motion carries stop class yeah this is just a a recommendation from the Department for Monica the 2 options uh class which is uh safety training option program uh legislation last year allows the district to opt out of that uh 17 hour uh class they so choose you can uh approve the opt out but if you eventually choose to um have them do it it still gives us an option um in that sense so um I would say Monica many directors uh Transportation directors felt like there was more beneficial classes that they can that they can take leading up to the start of the school year than this um 14-hour online and then 3 hour in person classes so that's the main reason because of the time yeah it's just a it's a huge time commitment that was actually in a sense keeping some drivers from from driving like just I I don't want to make that time commitment to a course just to just become a bus driver yeah so but again she felt like there's more beneficial um meetings or classes that that they could go through know these are plan to put those definitely in place then yeah so she's working on just working the same thing with with Newton too so she'll give us more information once that's set up when was the last time this is this uh each year each our current drivers have to redo this every year for 3 hours and then new drivers have to do that big huge 14 hour online thing but she's looking for other options for the every year training where all of the drivers to can you add yeah but but you have to approve it every single year in the spring to opt out of it yes now our concern is that something happens and we're not know how regular training in place yeah she's gonna make another change yeah there there is there will be a lot of options yeah so we'll I'll have bring that back to at the May meeting if not June meeting wasn't that interrupts date yeah I said about all that yeah and her Transportation report does that training have to check certain boxes so to speak yeah it I mean that 1 would it goes through um safe driving emergency procedures loading and unloading the child uh child safety but it was just that 14 hours of online just wasn't wasn't beneficial for them so and that's why the state I think they obviously agree that they they're making it optional that they ran it through legislation last year so I'll make a motion to approve second you have a motion and a second to approve the PCM opt out of the stop training for this year for new and returning drivers all those in favor say I I opposed motion carries boyack admission prices I will actually turn this over to Mr swink um and I'm going to give you an update of you know the the reports in there but if you have questions about it you can he has a lot of the background yeah I can speak to it a little bit so as a conference uh we've decided to increase our admission prices at the high school level only so right now our high school events are 6 dollars to get in for everybody uh and we're looking at increasing that from $6 to 8 uh and a couple of important things to note is we are keeping our Middle School prices exactly the same which is 5 dollars for adults and for our Middle School which is actually a little bit unique we let all uh K through 12 age kids in for free um and a couple other things I'm not interested in looking at increasing our activity past prices and so the hope is that that really pushes people to purchase activity passes so then in reality when people with 10 games we're really making that increase on the visiting fans that that come um and there is with there's some pending legislation right now with um potentially looking at forcing schools to accept cash or I think we're still waiting on a little bit of language I don't know what that looks like but in the meantime we're still going to function as what we know now uh and with that when we have the cashless transaction there is a fee just like everybody knows when they go to a concert to go anywhere there's a be that it's attached to it and an important thing to note is our entire conference has vows that we're going to cover that fee and so actually when we say we're charging 8 dollars that means we're really only seeing 7 dollars just about I think there's like a 90 Cent fee that that we eat every single time um and then the last important thing to notice well is every individual school is tasked with taking this to their school boards for approval and if it's got to take a majority of our conference schools which we now have 10 Conference tools for next year uh to approve and if there's an individual school that decides not to pass it so let's say tonight you guys were to say nope we want to keep it at 6 dollars but the majority of schools in the conference do pass it then that means all the other schools in conference are going to charge 8 dollars but when they come to PC and they're going to get a discount for $6 but the majority of schools in the conference vote it down um then it will remain at 6 dollars for everybody so uh that that's a lot of information I've got a Bachelor as well too some um comparisons and those comparisons are prices for this current school year so you can see um we're we're actually a little bit behind right now from some schools this current year and I I would say the reason for this increase we brought this increase I think uh 2 or 3 years ago where we increased our high school tickets from 5 dollars to 6 and we did that at the exact same time that we went cashless so we really didn't see in any more Revenue coming into activities Department because we're eating the 90 Cent fee coming off the top um so you can see some some comparables there um and the reason for it is just Rising increase and and cost of everything that we do between officials equipment uniforms uh everything uh seems to be a little bit more expensive so not every conference um covers that fee but correct yeah so like a perfect example I don't know about conferences but like the stadium so when you go to a state event you'll notice your tickets 8 dollars and some odd cents because the state does not need to be so they they pass along to the customer so there are some conferences that pass that fee field and that was you know with the between going 100% cashless and accepting cash that was really something we were willing to give in on because if if somebody had a 5 or somebody had exactly 6 dollars that they wanted to give us but it was going to charge somebody with a credit card $6.90 we knew that wasn't going to go over super well so we said we're going to make it and even 6 dollars across the board for everybody but some some conferences do pass it along these other conferences do you know are they raising them yeah yeah I think they are um I'm not for sure yet because all their school boards have to act on it and especially with some of these similar RS there's been some conference Jacob to where their school's coming in and out and so that that is probably going to open that discussion for for some of those too uh 1 important thing to note that I left over with my list of notes the only sport that this would not affect for this upcoming year would be football and that's as football's District base and the conference base uh so we are locked in for this coming year for 6 dollars for football and then when we get redistrict we'll reopen that conversation for football I mean this is going to put us with 1 of the highest in the state as far as what we're charging according to your chart yeah and that's that's for this current year um you can see the North Central's 8 dollars quite a few of them are um 7 and if you look at Middle School too think that's important to note that we allow middle school kids in for free when they look across the table there's quite a few of those conferences that are charged in middle school kids 5 plus dollars to get into an event they say no you think some of these are great I think some of will increase these are these are all right the same conversation yeah but I I don't know those numbers so I didn't want to put them down what's your feeling on how many how how big an impact this is actually for PTM because of activity passes and punch cards yeah PCM people very little it's going to be the PCM people on the road when you're going to an away conference game yeah so you have a family for that's a pretty big impact sure yeah and I would say too if if you've gone to youth or traveling tournaments recently these 8 dollars a ticket is is pretty minimal I I've seen some that are 15 twenty dollars to get into the youth events I see more conferences this exact thing just like just even official officials costs have gone up because officials the officials are in in demand like there's not a lot of schedule that want to do that sort of thing so they can ask their ask their price was this year of all the realignment too for a lot of these for us like the woodwork I mean I know whatever which 1 it is there's 1 that's really getting changed and whatnot so yeah there there's yeah shake up happening yeah but well I understand that it needs to go up I know we've always been big here on keman prices as well as we can I guess you know that so yeah and I would say too like that's exactly why I think since I've been here in my 5 years we haven't touched activity prices because and if you were to really break it down per game activity price are steel expression since we added that punch card a couple years ago well I mean I I don't necessarily want to make a profit on our activities so I'm kind of looking at the activity fund and there's maybe a thousand dollars to episode and I don't think this is gonna make a huge profit no no I mean so that's every every single fan comes in across every everybody that comes in every single game it's a 30% increase to our Revenue for the visiting people we're talking about part of it and keep in mind there's a 90 907 feet that's going out the door that we don't see we're paying those same prices when we go on the road and watch right yeah uh I think they were all coming this week or next week so I'm not aware and again there's a very real chance that we voted down here but still when you go on the road that and I'm completely fine with that but just just know I mean I think if everybody else was charging it yeah we to be charging it you know I mean I think they're asking us to review our finances are going to need this and um I just hope boards will say well yeah we're sitting good on our activity fund we don't necessarily need an increase for yeah streaming how do we how does that work with um home games for us but somebody else sure so this is something that we talked about I I think I propose something would have been 4 years ago uh and so we started very similar to activity passes where we had different streaming options for people to purchase a a single game a a month pass or a year pass and that you know people did it but it really didn't go over super well I I quite a few shots over that and I still said that's that's fine you know people are paying to get into the game people should pay to watch it on TV uh at the end of the year the booster club came back and said hey we don't want our people to pay for streams what's it going to take for us to make those free again I said well tell you exactly what's going to take I made just about 4,000 that year on activity streams if you guys want to write a 4,000 check then we'll consider the wash and so every year after that the booster club has donated a $1,000 check to the activities Department to cover for live streaming and is that Cal for someone watching 1 of their no way the way person anybody that jumps on the stream can watch School correct but I I think we might have something for middle school and and the hopper for next year is my hope good so for people who don't want to pay the the fees yeah I understand that I mean there's options and and you whatever work too like the state events that we host so all the post-season events this is the exact same number the state charges is 8 dollars you know what our revenue for like I guess I don't know how you quantify that but people that are were away pain we have the ticket prices yeah it really takes some diving into some reports but we can we can probably gather that I'm just kind of curious what this increase yeah we'd have to take a look but we could probably get that most sporting events there's not that many out of town people there's not a 100 people at a basketball game is there oh I'd say basketball and football or too that are pretty well intended it depends if we've got green yeah I would say not for a PCM folks we've got we've got a lot of different passes that people can can get I know we've got a pass for um lie folks in town and that where they don't even have to pay anything and they get a life that pass so those grandparents if they're paying well thank them for the donation but they really shouldn't every percentage of our revenue is taken from that bill because when I I don't intend to marry me but 10 year but that seems like I I see a lot of elderly people there yeah I guess what I'm wondering if it's like 20% of our revenue for the night you know or something like that yeah it's it's quite a bit but then it goes back to the previous this conversation of you know yeah sure we can charge you but I don't know how well that's going to go over since I've been getting in I just don't want to charge more just to charge more I kind of want to have well we're at a deposit so yeah but I my my concern is is you start charging 8 bucks then you have less people show up does that mean we're at more of a deficit but well I mean we started the year 93,000 in my account so yeah I don't I think what you're looking at and maybe not even though I I think you're looking at the entire activity fund that has has our has our FFA has all of our individual clubs all the groups together rolled up yeah if you look at it and if you look at the EXA and this is a little bit skewed because it was quite a few different things going on but if you look at our individual high school or middle school activities line it's it's negative right now but at the end of the year do everything you can to get a positive I I mean exact same mindset I don't care to make money I think the money we bring in we should we should be investing back in in a everybody's got their hand out we're having all these fundraisers and drive more activity passive yeah so I I hope so and I would like to do that again say that again what's an activity I think it got him in the fees here there's a couple different options 250 for a family and if people are concerned about how many games you got to go to the people are concerned about the the fee to get in I I know we've got a list of workers that we're always looking to fill and we've got a deal if you work 3 events you can get an activity pass and so I think that's a pretty fair deal I I know I still have some some track workers to fill here soon so people are interested yeah it might boost the volunteer it might help but if you have a kid that's heavily involved and you're going to 20 away games that you're that's 120 dollars you have 30 yeah it adds up and I would say if if you guys are are on the fence and considering not supporting not gonna hurt my feelings 1 thing I would consider though is to possibly table it and then maybe we can wait and see what some other schools do I would feel more comfortable doing that than I would flat out to to not approve it and then we are paying I don't think we need to do that I think we don't regret it you can't drive to Deo for the next years 8 hours it's going to cost you to get into the game to do that yeah I mean I think when your conversations over I think we need to go for it yeah I think so too I'll move update our high school student Chromebooks we're currently on year 4 uh so I kind of reached reached out to some other schools to see what model they're on I talked to some vendors and I kind of landed on with the updated version that are high school students have now the Lenovo 300E Gen 4 we're currently on the Gen 2 uh it's been a really good device for the kids so I feel confident that the latest generation can be good for them um so I reached out to other vendors see what can get for that model and the cheapest quote I received was from trafera at for 330 devices uh be 117,810 um that's where we're at more of those compared to our 5 year plan it's part of the budgeted dollars next year what was what was budgeted actually I came in cheaper dude he did I think we had a 150,000 I think we've talked 140 yeah so he was under what we were projecting so what's the difference between the maybe you said this between the 100 e and the 4 yes the 100 is not touchscreen um which is kind of a big deal to the kids and it's got a slower processor so I just don't want them to be appropriate for high school age kids that's the same thing we have just sort of uh know you're on the Easter so it's a completely different model okay and what do they give you Retreat do you trade the Inland dinner do they just go in the dumpster somewhere I traded them last year and it took me like 3 Days opened it up the shot opened the softball parents that somebody was interested in leading that very similarly the um they said they'd be able to get us a unit for the same price for softball and I think that offers still valid too so they're still trying to rip the softballs trying to raise money too or I don't know softball had anybody interested at this point okay sorry your motion is second 514 and I just put down there by 15 for adult meals when was the last time I raised a lot of prices I feel like we've been last year we did it last year we went like a long time ago prices that's surprising and it's going to be enough to go up I know I am too and if you ran the numbers the 10 cents with your deficit you're on them going to do the last increase or is that um I mean there's going to be we'll have to see how the next school year goes like our participation in or participation the enrollment yeah we have practice booking against us yeah really so I think we need to reassess maybe mid year so what impacted open compass have on your lunch ribbon um our numbers of meals served High School is less than what it was before I mean I could pull up numbers and share it with you the next month update I was curious like the percentage of Revenue loss as well we nutrition being a little bit back because they were closing this building yep that cost savings that will be there as well that will help um hopefully in the long run but I know I think we talked about in the financial year I don't want to speak for you carry but I know there's equipment that maybe you have needs for 2 down the road so it's factoring all that in this right yeah like I mean this year we're going to take the equipment that's here and use it where we can yeah so like um we have an oven that's not working it's that the high school like I have not fixed it so we're going to take the oven that's here at me and take it over to the high school and then we have other pieces here that instructional hours by May 22nd and recommend um May 22nd being the last day for the students uh seniors last day and graduation won't be impacted and then also would recommend that the 2 teacher make do like if we're we still own this building at this time in August this can still be about she's also talking with some other area uh churches things like that to see if that of those can be those can be hubs um or pick up drop off so that's the biggest asked question I have ever we I get asked 2 or 3 timeslot trying to get commitments and if for some reason we don't get commitments we are secondary um thought process is going to Neighborhood pickups possibly too so lots of districts do the neighborhood pickups but um we're hoping that we can use the um from some places that have large parking lots and so on and um good function of traffic flow of traffic so we hope to have that in the next couple weeks here I have that have that ready to go at the start of start of May but we've got we've got a good document going of what it what it's going to look like and then Kathy will make it pretty more and try to get that out and have it posted wherever we can post it many times it's possible so that's the only other thing that I that I have unless you have other questions any update on the appraisal no I have not I would say I think originally said 8 weeks so we might be maybe we
