The PCM Community School District is circulating a petition to add a bond referendum question to the November ballot. If passed, the District will have the resources to move forward with proposed facility improvement projects across the district in Monroe and Prairie City.
These projects focus on priorities identified through facility assessments, staff input, student and community survey feedback, community facilities committee feedback, and Board discussions including creating a grade 7-12 campus in Monroe with updates to the Career and Technical Education and Science classrooms, creating additional classrooms by renovating current square footage of the high school, adding a performance and competition gymnasium, and additional parking along with updated playground/green space at the Prairie City campus.
By signing the petition, it does not signify approval of the project. It simply allows the proposal to move forward for community consideration and a public vote in November. Eligible voters in the PCM School District can sign the petition at the following locations:
- PCM District Office (located in Prairie City)
- PCM High School Office (located in Monroe)
- Prairie Days (Prairie City)
- Old Settlers (Monroe)
