Activity Type: Community Events
Start Date: 09/24/2023
Detailed Description
The Prairie City Safe Space at Prairie Escape Wellness Center is an LGBTQIA+ Safe Space for youth in Middle School and High School. We gather together to play games, engage in supportive conversations of support and inclusion as well as have other more planned events such as having the Crisis Canine Therapy Dogs visit, cookouts, group art projects at Twice Blessed and more! We also have Community Supporters who help organize the events, who attend to help support our youth with resources, conversations and who donate food, drinks and supplies to our gatherings! These Supporters are adults within our community who support the LGBTQIA+ community and who want to help support the youth within our lives. We invite you to join us and know you have support in the PCM Community at all times! This is a no cost program to attendees. We communicate through a private FB Group as well as a Discord server.

PCM's Virtual Backpack Site allows community groups and outside sports teams to effortlessly share their event information with the wider public. We value the enrichment opportunities these groups provide for our student and and want to help families stay informed.

Simply fill out and submit the linked form with your information and a flyer. Once approved, we will add it to our Virtual Backpack!

To ensure the safety and security of our students, all users must follow PCM's Virtual Backpack guidelines.

Thank you for submitting your event to our Virtual Backpack! If you have any questions, please contact Cathy DeHaai, [email protected].
