Enrollment and Student Achievement Data
Certified Enrollment
The funding Iowa school districts receive to educate our students is based on certified enrollment. Certified enrollment is determined by the number of students living in a school district. Historically, this number is set by districts on the first day of October each school year. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, there will be 2 official certified enrollment count dates: October 1st and January 15th. The funding will be based on the average of these two counts.
Under state law, certified enrollment is used in the formula that determines state funding for our schools. It also includes the “weighting,” or additional funding for students in certain programs.

Student Achievement Data
Each year the state of Iowa collects data about our students—including but not limited to ISASPs testing scores, graduation rates, and attendance. The overall score provides a single number which provides a snapshot of district performance compared to other districts across the state. To view PCM's data, click the button below.
