Meet Your School Board Members
Lori Jungling
District 1
Lori is a PCM mom and a substitute teacher for our District. She graduated from Wellsburg-Steamboat High School and the University of Northern Iowa. Lori is involved in the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church and enjoys camping and politics. She and her husband Jay spend their free time following their children Klaire, Jack, and Jodi’s many activities at PCM. She joined the School Board to get involved in the future of PCM.
Cole Van Ryswyk
District 2
Cole, a PCM and Iowa State graduate, is a project executive at DCI. Cole joined the school board because he wanted to find a way to serve the community and school district that he was raised in. With his kids all being school age, he felt it was the right time to help make an impact on the opportunities for students and the future of the district. He and his wife Ashely have four children: Peyton, Beckham, Brooks, and Laiken. In his spare time, Cole volunteers with multiple youth athletic programs and enjoys coaching his kids’ teams. He also loves to golf and plays as often as he can.
Kelsey Fiorentin
District 3
Kelsey, a graduate of PCM High School and Mercy College of Health Sciences, is an ER nurse at the Iowa Lutheran Emergency Department. She lives in Prairie City with her husband Bruce, their four boys Blake, Lincoln, Greyson, and Cooper, and mini bernedoodle Millie. Kelsey is currently Mrs. Iowa America and spends her free time shopping, reading, and playing with her kids. Why did she become a School Board member? “With kids in the district and a passion for mental health and children’s safety, I felt it would be a great way to help others in our community.”
Rod De Haai
District 4
Rod, a graduate from Monroe High School and Central College, is the Vice President of Operations at Midwest Heritage Insurance. A PCM dad, he spends his free time golfing and taking vacations with his wife Cathy, son Parker, and daughter Lucy. “I enjoy serving the PCM District to help create better opportunities for our kids.”
Jeremy St. Peter
District 5
Board Vice President
Jeremy, a PCM graduate who holds an Associate degree in Tool and Die from DMACC, works in Technical Applications and Sales at ISCAR Metals. He and his wife Jen live in Monroe with their sons. Both he and Jen are heavily involved in their community with Jeremy volunteering as a firefighter/EMT. He spends his free time attending activities for his sons, golfing, and working on home improvement projects. Jeremy became a board member because he knows firsthand the importance of a quality education having two kids of his own in school. He encourages all families, staff, and students of PCM to reach out if there are any needs that he can help address.
Ryan Van Der Kamp
District 6
Board President
Ryan, a PCM graduate, is a self-employed electrician and the Prairie City Fire Chief. Ryan joined the School Board so he could help the District. He and his wife Ann have two daughters, PCM students Abby and Alli, and enjoy boating and watching their daughters play sports.
Steve Nearmyer
District 7
Steve was originally recruited to become a School Board member but decided to stay on after his first term. A local farmer, Steve enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife Jenny and daughters Kelsey Adams and Kaylee Siebrecht and their families.
