rugby time wrecking ball a motion to approve the agenda so I need to give a big shout out to screen for all of organization I mean things just went so well I also want to give a shout out to the basketball game and I want to ask you how many we've had basketball last year we had track last spring we have softball one last summer and we are football one and golf last year and that's login issue or a fun winter those people that are not concerned about economic development of the school it brings in a lot of people from out of town until after buying gas or visiting your local restaurant so I thank you so much. thank you very much programs and expand and they don't have you seen it on Facebook but they were can raccoons the last week and we'll see how Institute cell rind until you hear from employees that are jealous awesome thank you my robotics team have had a great year so I just want to Highlights it's not not all about sports has been a lot of great things going on are Esports team is working hard and and so are we asking that she had a bill there in Thai robot Ben 10 I heard mentioned look like by the gun into the phone and shoot them all off I don't know how people are not horrible before so we can get it after no before I forgot but they look phenomenal spring break plans I'd like to introduce mr. Sam Brown and his wife Taylor and their son Simon and yes just last week I got off work miracle that I graduated I was a problem child a good perspective Spanish M shift for 8 I prayed for about 7 years and all kinds of leadership experiences and took my class up there and not for the past eight months I've been working to Drake University in the race basically the meat potatoes to the job there is we going to school in and around the world I mean trying to build them a strong School culture and develop character their kids and that was a pretty big for me last two short time there but I'm really excited that is Anna I promise. keep them very long email rhino anyone else have any good news let me not send the dinner Bambi first grade teacher in her world. Right now so I'm not sure what it was we conducted our new trailer so we applied and there was seven or eight perhaps a great thanks a couple of newspapers that are gone today but if anybody else says anything they want to add thank you for a grant. petabyte server Hardware and we got a business item update preschool expansion Isabel 7 years I look at setting you then I go back and see what year ago and we can talk about school program and you proved it I've invited me to come and just Sharon what about the program Chisholm presentation for the first I want to touch on weed add a meeting so I wanted to give like an update on our enrollment 5646 in the full-day and 10 in the same program which means all of our teachers teach full day but some of them but they are allowed to leave if they want so they're sending on the new that we actually had five November they were all day so that was pretty exciting and then after I do a parent meeting we had 43 parents show up so I thought that was really cool in February we're pushing it out earlier and earlier so that was exciting to have that money show up registration is open. I thought I'd share those numbers we already have 16 that I registered for full-day and buy her half day so that's exciting so I'm hoping those next I've been communicating with the others that came to the meeting we are new from the 31st these are all for next year your parents and say I'm going to shoot from half court I thought there was a stay-at-home he doesn't nap anymore so that was a big thing because in the afternoon. So you just having trouble just resting for that hour so she's like you know what I'm going to do this afternoon so I'm just going to keep them all so it wasn't any my bad that happened but she was just like that glad we met about that and it's all good then go the next later we recently I sent out a survey for parents and teachers to take just to get us feedback on how the whole day program is going or half-day either one this is kind of what they gave me back a lot of parents were saying that they even see an increased attention span in their worlds that was exciting to hear they said they feel like there are four year olds there if they've had a a child that scum's her happy program they feel like this their second child or third or whatever is working too hard already so that was exciting as well instead of having to stop at 11 and then have a whole set of kids that come at noon so that's fun and feel like the students are in her standing next to a patient more is there there for a pool day instead of trying to cram all that in 3 hours or getting a better understanding of how was it on my part but how we walk down the hallway just going to lunch there getting his grasp on that parents are just they just feel more you're having their kids somewhere all day not having to worry about that half day Transportation pick up drop off the snowing at the school kind of uses our mind having lunch snacks and rest time we just really feel like we're providing her this was something awesome that we were giving them a good lunch they have breakfast at they want snacks today and then also rest I think of some of these kids in daycare so they don't get these are great to work right now in a lot of there was a couple parents that said please continue to offer that half the auction and it's just it's just great to have those options for our families and I said that we have Karen teachers yeah you can't hear that enough so that's awesome some challenges that we're facing this year it hasn't been smooth sailing all the whole time no tell you that we've had trial and error this year for sure rest X kind of been a challenge just some of those kids that don't nap. How long do we do winner of those that are napping what can we do with those that is truly don't need it anymore but then there's also research that says 4 year old still need you know proper amount of time so we're still working through the Kinks on that one has been an experience of getting four year olds in the lunchroom but it's like been a challenge and success at the same time so it's been huge with their independence in the lunchroom but there's still times where if they don't like some huge learning Richard so we're still working out the Kinks on that skill teacher planning times that was has been a big one because with the half a program I had a day off so that they could play I just had where they could plan the whole day change the centers that type of thing so we are trying to find a good balance with that because we want to offer 5 days for parents because it's kind of things to have that one day that they have to find daycare so for families has been great get to come every single day but just finding that balance for teachers that they still have plenty time so right now but we do is on Mondays are the days that they have their specials this year it hasn't worked very well with special features that we shared between both buildings it's hard to find everyday a special time for them but next year we are building on in so it's going to work out next year so they'll have every day like today future some planning time cuz I was kind of hoping some of that explaining that they need to be in their rooms for us time and help out with their Associates to special education so that's kind of challenge for the whole day special especially behaviors because our teachers are the special education teacher as well they serve both rules that can get tricky quit Behavior especially trying to step in and then also having the rest of your kids and you know able to trust that associate to take over the rest of the class that isn't Ricky I just had to step in a lot with the classroom teachers and and help so kind of takes me away from my other hole to has been tricky so our plan our goals next one next year include I'll just jump down to this one an early childhood special education teacher part-time I'm hoping that can teach half day in the morning and in the afternoon service special education minutes and be a person at the step in while partnering with my classroom teachers more so that would be huge open up Kris enrollment and we're doing that by pushing out communicating video Suarez has been really nice getting in our classroom getting some footage in the room going like what we do on a whole day or full day program so that'll be fun would like to continue. find a half day option and we would really love to jump it right now we have two full day options would really love to get to 3 to see everyone include preschool with the K5 schedule with the stuff just to get them in there and the special teachers not having them they said they're catching on really I think they'll be even more ready to go to kindergarten and fries and art and others expectations pre-kindergarten so if you remember we just brought this back last year right now do they have 17 soon I doubt all of them will go but they are recommending that many would you just have one location and it's working out beautifully I haven't heard any negative feedback from that so we have three that come over on the bus from Tracy and it's been working fine and amazing fire last year Tucker's wife she came to us with 8 years experience with have kindergarten and preschool so she's kind of just built this program and she's worked really well with Heather getting instruction she had lots of great question we have people should be in our the first year at 3 p.m. we have people going into her classroom and watching her shoes she's has been amazing so in the reading yep out of all three sections a preschool suggest that then teachers they fill out a rubric on each kid and it goes through the social emotional skills and actions of a classroom so great formation and the highest numbers get recommended we want to keep that low we can stay right around 15 under previous line you said if we get the right number yes so preschool ratio is 20 in a classroom so I mean flashlights right now contemplating to get so funny so right now we have half of the preschool is in a bang in the afternoon so huge for us to get full funding but something has to be where it would be impacted you know a we're going to have to pay that be in the afternoon or evening able to be more viable you know with a smaller class sizes but it would really have an impact on our transition program so one is 4.1 + 1 + 50 is better at 200% or below it would be awesome right commercial break she has but she's recommending in Royse City start a workout but I want to thank you guys for supporting this program and approving it last year has been a huge success and Brown applicants for the position we screened I have them brought in for Republican Ronnie 5 we had a big debate the administrators Inc was involved in that we ran the process very similar to what you did for the superintendent search except we added to group and I was actually the facilitator of that group I didn't participate in any of the other interviews I just was with the students and I'm telling you that I was so proud so proud of how they communicated I don't see when we do the restorative justice circles and how to control it all if they had a list of obviously and your favorite college team they fielded questions quite honestly a really cool experience and I'm so Brown in highly recommended and so we'd like to recommend approval of his contract Beverly early Tire org the one little person on the team I didn't know it came to school with his mom and a teacher ain't all the way home changes closing and back for the interview to make sure that he had the right. There's a couple of them in the car between games Elementary leadership structure this is an enormous of a third-year taking a look at how to make the position and make everything right run a bar Elementary and so this would be asking for elementary early childhood Google Assistant Angry Grandpa bottom line is we woke up at a conference on where we are charging price-wise where other conferences are charging and truthfully where our budgets are and as we all know that everything is going out and so this is our main source of income for activities department is the ticket sales at we bring in and I was just talking with Rod earlier I know we haven't looked at houses and in fees for next year but are my recommendation at this point will not be too up are at the organ remain where they are but I don't feel it's right that really take advantage of our community anymore those people are buying a pretty pretty valuable those apps where they are pushing for next year and truthfully where this is going to help us his those visiting me in this community is coming because it's actually pay off the other places there payment so this is kind of where we're at and the biggest change is going to be $6 across the board for high school event and for those of you who come to postseason events of the game the girls laundry boys one you know that's what the state charges across the board at $6 anyways and when the stakes are does that mean I'm going to keep it in that month so we already had three other conference schools have who boarded South Hamilton care in Greene County and so this is where we're looking at our Middle School a magnet with the caveat that and that the Middle School Advantage would get in for free and I guess my philosophy in our conference philosophy on that is at the high school level if you want to get into a game free and finally we can find a way to get you and whether it's in the band a cheerleader we could find a way to get you in there and be a part of that atmosphere free we do not have that luxury to do that at the middle school level there's just too many things we have to jump through and we think it's important to have those to burn a reason for the Middle School where will not be charging this is coming there so how far am I from pretty good job we are not we are not too far call Brother Adkins. And we we will see a trend that if we continue down this path we probably will so this is kind of special fees you don't get to control a little bit yes or no but at the end of the day they are there kind of hold the cards because I got it done question will they go for life the pink are much cheaper in the long run it is impossible. takers. And then you pay additional 1818 things for student but to pay to get into every event who bought that one is and all the other school board past exception of Rome Georgia school board we want to make sure our parents pay a lower fee and so what happened in that scenario is when you go to any other school you pay it or not the same when I come by Budget on the back side takes a hit as well too so I totally agree and I love that I love him in a perfect world Wells Fargo you don't have to meet the way things we have to make it you know dollars per adult children I think it is quite a bit unfortunately some of these you agree in a perfect world if we don't do it I mean are doing that great but I don't think that were Adam and because it was a decision I would love for us to the conference just to stay together and be consistent and Scott just before the meeting play out to all the schools in the state of Iowa to get feedback on who was charging people to watch your live stream who was collecting money off of live streamer who was allowing it to be free of all over the place to get different different companies that work with but I think that's something that I would like to take a look at because it's actually what could happen if we're charging in our family you know 40 bucks to come in and sit in here and watch you can sit on your couch and watch the same thing for free right now I think that was something that came from Cova that wasn't going to be in fact and something that we had to adjust and I think that's something we need to bring value it word meanings Life Alert cost when they bring the family on Thursday night.
